“beautiful girls”
Shooting (and modeling for) the
Leavin Las Vegas “trash the dress” (TTD) session was definitely one of the highlights of my
WPPI trip in Vegas. For those of you who don’t know, a TTD session is a great excuse for brides to wear their wedding gowns one, two or even ten more times =), resulting in some creative, fun, funky, modern and whatever kind of portraits that a traditional wedding day doesn’t always allow for. Actually trashing the gown is not a requirement, but having a good time always is!
Miss Jonilyn, her gorgeous gown and the beauty of the
Red Rock Canyon set the stage for a perfect TTD session. Thank you to the other beautiful models as well!
Here are my favorite shots of the day:

“when i see you smile”
Before the madness officially began, I joined Ann & Chris in Long Beach, CA for a wonderful e-session. Ann & Chris first met in Long Beach so it was only fitting that we shot their engagement session at two great locations in the LBC:
Cal State Long Beach Japanese Gardens and
The Pike at Rainbow Harbor. Ann & Chris are such a fun and energetic couple. Not a moment went by when they weren’t laughing or enjoying each other’s company. They brought so much joy to my day and it’s easy to see that they have a lifetime of happiness and laughter ahead of them.
**Thank you Ann & Chris for a great time! I can’t wait for your November wedding! Maybe we’ll do a hot dog shoot next time! =)**
The happy couple:

Ann was beaming with love all throughout the day:

I love how Chris smiles with his eyes:

Not smiling here! =)

Really thats enough…

Alright maybe one more smooch before we go to The Pike!

What a beautiful day at The Pike at Rainbow Harbor:

“please don’t stop the music’”
Hi everyone!!! Wow – what a crazy and fun week it has been for me! I spent all last week at my home-away-from-home – Las Vegas!!! I attended the annual
Wedding Portraits & Photographers International (WPPI) Convention & Trade Show, where I networked with wonderful photographers, picked up some new gear and shot some amazing sessions. I think I slept a total of 30 hours all week but it was sooo worth it! Then on Saturday, I shot
Wendy & Wes‘ fabulous wedding which was also in lovely Las Vegas. In the midst of it all, I managed to lose some moola at the blackjack tables =( and keep up with the real “
March Madness” in support of my
UCLA Bruins!!! Bruins all the way baby! Then I rushed home on Sunday to celebrate Easter with the phamily. *Whew!*
Stay tuned for posts on all the madness!!!

“summer lovin’”
Move over Shiloh Jolie-Pitt & Suri Cruise!!! Ashley & Summer are destined to conquer the world with their unbelievable cuteness. Ok, I’m a lil’ partial since these two cutie patootie’s are the bf’s nieces. But, I think you’ll agree with me after viewing the photos below:
Good looks run in the family:

Look at that lil’ mouth!

The many beautiful and silly faces of Miss Ashley:

I just love this pic of Ashley entertaining Summer:

Summer has some adorable faces of her own – not to mention a super cool mohawk =)

Lil’ feet!

Just wait til she starts walking…

And when she becomes a gorgeous young lady like her cousin:

“fields of gold”
I was ecstatic to shoot a second engagement session for Wendy & Wes this past weekend, not only because they are one of my favorite (and definitely tallest!) couples, but also because we got to shoot at the legendary
Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. I’m not really a baseball fan – more of a basketball (go Lakers!) and football fan (my poor Patriots) myself, but I do enjoy going to the games, doing the wave and eating a delicious Dodger dog. I also love shooting engagement sessions at historical locations. You can just feel the history upon entering the stadium. It was even more incredible when the stadium is empty and all you see the fresh green grass and endless rows of seats. Wendy & Wes were just as excited, as they are huge baseball fans and Wes plays baseball in local leagues. They were also excited because their wedding is just a few weeks away!
*Wendy & Wes – I enjoyed another fun session with you guys and look forward to your “i-do’s” in Vegas!!!
Check out the open field:

We got a great opportunity to shoot in the dugout:

Wendy has such amazing blue eyes!

The history of the stadium inspired some of our shots:

Wendy & Wes sure liked their seats! =)

Such a perfect pair:

I love how Wendy & Wes are always laughing and smiling…

…and how in love they are!

Wes – I think Wendy likes this rock a lil’ bit more! =)

Another great time at another great place!

“where my girls at???”
I looove meeting new people, which is partly why I looove what I do so much. Yesterday I had the pleasure of getting together with a group of fabulous Southern California female photographers for dinner at yummy
Javier’s at the
Irvine Spectrum. Our wonderful dinner group included
Christine Farah,
Jonilyn Brown,
Katy Regnier and
Sarah K. Chen. We shared stories, ideas, cupcakes (thanks Crissy!) and mostly laughs. If you know me, you know I looove cupcakes, especially red velvet ones! Katy snagged this pic of me & Crissy enjoying our cupcakes:

Our lovely entourage of ladies then headed to
Victor Sizemore’s house where he was hosting a networking party for Southern California photographers. I networked with a lot of great industry folks, including the infamous [b]ecker. [b]ecker took this pic of us with his new Nikon and posted it on his blog (i’m now famous – lol!):

Top Row:
Christine Farah, Ray of Red Cheese,
Sarah K. Chen,
Serena Grace and
Jonilyn Brown
Bottom Row:
Katy Regnier, yours truly with my super cheesy smile,
Eddie Bojorquez, and
Susan Yee
The party also had one of those fun photo booths by
Red Cheese. We had a lil’ fun and tried to squeeze in as many people as we could. Luckily there were a few lil’ Asian girls like myself =). Unlucky for me – I had to be in the back since it was the smallest space. I think you can make out my eyes & forehead towards the top! So fun! I would recommend having this at any wedding, except with less people in the booth at one time – I think it was about to tip over at one point!

“shawty is a 10″
Hi everyone! I have to apologize for being a lil’ behind on blogging – February was extremely busy for me and it only gets busier from here! I was so busy that I didn’t even realize that my blog has reached 10,000 hits! Soooo exciting! I started this lil’ blog 6 months ago and I’m thrilled by all the support I have received. I can’t wait to reach 1,000,000 hits! *Muhahahah* (evil laugh =)) On another note, one of the reasons I’ve been so busy is because I’ve been working on my website which should be up soon! I can’t wait – I bet you can’t either! =)
Please stay tuned for some new entries coming this week!
