“just the two of us”
Last weekend we celebrated the bf’s birthday with friends (see post below) and this weekend I am taking the bf to a top secret location to have a lil’ celebration of our own. I think he has no idea where we’re going so hopefully he will be pleasantly surprised.
So I will be out of the “office” starting right now =) and will respond to emails when I get back on Monday.

“time of your life”
Last weekend we celebrated the bf’s and two of my friends’ birthdays with krazy go-karts, tasty brews and endless laughs. It’s always a good time when you are surrounded by good friends. I managed to get out of my go-kart alive and snapped some photos along the way. Here’s a lil’ slideshow I put together to commemorate the joyous occasion – after all you only turn 21 once

In the midst of the scorching heat in Southern California a few weeks ago, Caroline, Stephen and I found plenty of shade at the local park and managed to have a great time shooting their engagement session. Sure we needed towels to wipe our sweat, but what’s an e-session without some extra heat?? =)
I can’t wait for Caroline & Stephen’s wedding in July – hopefully there will be a beach breeze! =)

Ivy & Mike are two of my dear friends who were married a few weeks on May 10, 2008 at the incredible Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles. I was so honored and thrilled to be a witness of such a special and long awaited union =P.
** Ivy & Mike – I am so glad to have gotten to know you both through the years. I really don’t know two people more perfect for each other. Ivy & Mike had a wonderful photographer, John Mateos Ong fly in all the way from the Philippines to capture their wedding. I was lucky enough to watch John in action and by John’s request, brought along my Canon to serve as a pseudo third shooter. Here are some shots I took before enjoying myself as a “guest” =):

NKOTB just released more tour dates and they are performing at Los Angeles Staples Center on October 8, 2008!!!! 144 days to go!!! I’ve waited 27 years for this!!! I hope my mom will let me & my sister go this time!
Plus I woke up this morning to NKOTB performing on The Today Show! Talk about starting off the morning right! They looked soooo good and still have “the right stuff”! Hahhahah…I know I’m cheesy but you love it! =). It was raining and yet the plaza was filled with tons of screaming “less younger” women =). This one woman had a sign that said “30 years old and still loving it”! LOL – that’s me! There were even men in the audience! And you know you loved it when Joey crooned “Please don’t go girl…”!!!

“more than words”
You won’t find a dull moment with these two and it was especially true on their wedding day. Vanessa & Tony have been waiting their whole lives for this day and with tears of happiness, sweet surprises and inventive dance routines, their wedding on April 26, 2008 was anything short of spectacular. I knew it wouldn’t be any other way.

It was such a beautifully emotional day.
Tony surprised his beautiful bride with a beautiful song he wrote especially for her. It was such a touching moment.
Ok one of my fave parts of the night was when Vanessa & Tony tricked us all! They started off in a sweet slow dance which quickly turned into doing a fun and unforgettable choregraphed dance. I loved it when Tony started doing the robot to “Ice, Ice Baby”! =)

I am soooo happy for my friends Ivy & Mike who are getting hitched this Saturday!!! They are such wonderful souls and completely made for each other. I feel so blessed to have them in my life and to be part of the happiest days of their lives.
