“welcome to the world”

Introducing baby Hailey!!! Michelle & Steven welcomed their lil’ baby girl in early April and I was honored to document her entrance into the world. Isn’t she just sooo precious?

Ok I know, poor lil’ babies – the things we do to them – like put them in baskets and snap photos! I just love how her lil’ foot and toes are curling.

“hangin’ tough”

You know when I put my mind to something – it gets done!!!

So my sister and I went to the NKOTB concert at the Hollywood Palladium this past Saturday expecting to scream our heads off as the boys/men serenaded us with “Please Don’t Go Girl” and “My Favorite Girl”.  We didn’t expect that we would be up close and personal with Donnie!!!  After an amazing concert where we were only about 5 rows away from them and an even more amazing after-party at the House of Blues on Sunset, we found ourselves at the after-after party where my sister met Joey (I sadly missed him) and we both met Donnie was who super cute (*swoon*) and super nice.   Ok so we sort of talked our way into the after-after party, but who needs details?!  The important thing is after 21 years, my dreams have finally come true!  I’m not sure if that’s happy or sad…lol.

Anyhoo, here’s a recap of our exciting adventure:

We begin at 3pm on a very hot and sunny Saturday afternoon.  Yes we were waiting in line at 3pm for a 7:30pm concert and yes there were like 100 people ahead of us!  Some women had camped out the night before!!!  I’m sporting my “Cover Girl” shirt – it’s like I knew I was gonna meet Donnie!!

Ok so I got a lil’ excited when I saw their tour bus. LOL.

We finally get in 4 hours later but soooo worth it!!! Except I’m not so sure about Joey’s gold jacket.

At the after-after party with one of the Jabbawockeez who opened for NKOTB:

And the grand finale…*sigh*… I kinda wished he smiled but I think he was trying to look tough =). Or maybe he was scared of two crazy lil’ Asian girls.

the mission continues…

“didn’t i (blow your mind)”

Guess where I am going tonight?!  Guess where I am camping out infront of right now?!

Yup, the boys from beantown are here in LA and my kooky sister and I are waiting anxiously in line for our Joey, Jordan, Jon, Donnie and Danny!  (Can’t you just hear my sister shrieking with excitement in the background?!)  You know a blog post will be coming next week!

“boom boom pow”

Funny story.  So I met with Michelle & Tony last fall and halfway during our meeting Tony explained to me that his aunt is my sister-in-law!  Such a small world and I’m glad it is!  These two are so much fun and sooo perfect for each other!  Our session was all laughs, even though we were never quite blessed with the best SoCal weather.  Nevertheless, we had an amazing shoot and I cannot wait for their wedding next weekend!

We found this backdrop that matched their outfits perfectly:

annia & jordan: day after

April 14, 2009

“after all”

You may remember this gorgeous couple from their lovely wedding last fall. Annia & Jordan are so sweet and stylish and I was thrilled to be shooting them again for their “day after” session. Day after sessions are also known as “trash the dress” sessions. Don’t worry – you don’t actually have to trash your beautiful wedding dress. It’s really just an excuse to wear it again :) . I love day after sessions – couples are usually way more relaxed resulting in some really amazing and creative portraits. Check it out for yourself!

“now and forever”

Last month I got together with the wonderful team from In the Now Weddings to capture months of hard work for them and fabulous tablescapes for us! Amanda should seriously rename herself A-Mazing. I really don’t know know how her team comes up with all of these amazing ideas and details! Every table was so unique and stylish that I am inspired to possibly turn on the stove one day and throw a swanky dinner party complete with tablescapes!

For now, feast your eyes on these beautiful creations courtesy of In the Now Weddings:

lynda & mike: wedding

“shine”

Lynda & Mike’s 15 hour wedding extravaganza was a day they will never forget. Complete with 3 ceremonies and over 450 guests, they celebrated their marriage big time!!!! From behind the lens, I witnessed countless memorable moments, but the moment I will always remember is during the reception dinner, Mike was making a toast to his beautiful bride and shouted “I only have two words to say – I SCORED!!!!” Hahha…yes you did Mike! =)

*Lynda & Mike – I can’t thank you enough for having me a part of such a special day for you. You are so sweet and thoughtful – even making sure I was ok on your busy wedding day! I guess I scored! =) You are a beautiful couple inside & out and I’m sure you are looking even better with your golden tans from St. Lucia =).

We start out with the traditional tea ceremony:

I know jumping shots have become very common, but I just LOVE them. Everyone always enjoys them and gets really into it. Check out how high the flower girl got and how her dress looks like a bell! LOVE it!
