“each day gets better”

Following a lovely surprise proposal, Jenna & Steven made their engagement official with a beautiful traditional Vietnamese engagement party for family and close friends. It is custom for both families to meet and announce the acceptance of the engagement. Their was definitely no objection here as everyone was all smiles and cheer for this wonderful couple. There were even some tears…ahem…Steven :) . I am so blessed to know Jenna & Steven and meet all of their amazing family and friends. I simply cannot wait for their wedding in 2010!

“fire burning”

The boudoir is back! A few weeks ago I got to meet the incredibly sexy and funny Tracey. We had a blast and it never feels like work when you are having fun! Tracey is getting married next month and wanted a little something, something for her husband-to-be! Judging by how stunning Tracey looks in these photos, I’m sure the hubs will be happy ;) Once again, all make up & hair was beautifully done by the All Made Up Team. I can’t say enough about this amazing team of ladies!

P.S. The blog layout has been updated, but more about that later – don’t want to take away from Tracey’s sexy post! :) For now, just enjoy the bigger and better photos :)

Here we go!

introducing baby jordyn!

June 26, 2009

“pretty-young-thing”

In light of the passing of some amazing American icons, I think it’s a reminder of how precious life really is.  I am fortunate to photograph the beginning of life and see how beautiful it is to welcome someone into the world.  Hot mama Sherylle gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Jordyn on June 3, 2009.  13 days later, I visited the beautiful family for some newborn photos of Jordyn and wow she is the cutest little thing!  Congrats to Sherylle and lovely family!

Some table reading and parental help:

“when love takes over”

You might remember sisters Ashley & Alyssa from my blog last October.  My how they have grown,  but still as cute as ever!  I know this family very well and I am lucky to have them in my life.   As you can see from the photos below, this household has no shortage of smiles and laughter.  Like their family, the love just keeps growing and growing =).

Introducing the beautiful family!

“i gotta feeling”

I know I always say I have a blast shooting engagement sessions, but I really do! It’s such a fun and creative time for me and my couples! Hollie & Brian’s engagement session was no exception. They are two beautiful people – inside & out. Plus Hollie is an optometrist & Brian is a pharmacist – I definitely know who to call from now on! =) Hollie & Brian are getting married in September and since I was not available for their big day, I had to settle for a few amazing hours with this amazing couple! Hollie & Brian – I wish you a happy wedding day and an even happier life together :) .

We started out at the Santa Ana Train Station. It was my first time shooting there – who knew it was so fabulous?!

“life is beautiful”

It has been quite a year for Brittany & Brian! Last August, they were joined as husband & wife and this May, they welcomed their precious baby boy Max. I feel soooo incredibly happy and honored to have been a part of such special moments for them. Here’s to many more!

Wake up sleepy Max – we have a photo shoot to do!

“dirty little secret”

Sure the Lakers have the best player on the planet on Kobe Bryant, but I have the real reason they won the NBA Championship last night – my lucky Lakers shirt! I put this bad yellow baby on during game 1 of the Finals and have worn it for every game in the series. I mistakenly took it off with 5 minutes left in game 3 which is why they lost – I know, I’m sorry Laker fans! Eventually, they beat the Magic 4-1 and I do not intend on washing this lucky shirt.ever.again. But, now that the secret is out – I am open to selling it to the highest bidder.

Oh and I did I mention the LAKERS are the 2009 NBA CHAMPS!!!!! Awww yeah! :)

“red red wine”

The summer is always busy because of wedding season but also because of all the summer birthdays!  To celebrate the bf’s and my friend’s birthdays, a group of us ventured to the Santa Barbara wine country to partake in some lovely wine tasting.  We went on the Captain Jack’s Santa Rita Hills tour which took us to four wineries and gave us Christopher as our personal designated driver =).  It was a wonderful day with wonderful friends, but I must confess I don’t remember much after the first winery.  I am *ahem*, I guess what you would call a cheap date? But, I did manage to take a few photos before taking a little nap at the last winery:

Our first stop: Foley Estates! After this stop, the rest of the tour kinda was a blur…lol.

After all that drinking, we headed to Olio E Limone for some delicious Italian food:
