“dear mama”
This beautiful mommy-to-be was one of my first (and hottest) boudoir clients ever and I was thrilled when she messaged me and told me she is expecting her first child! I am so happy to see my clients go through various stages in their lives and I am always so honored that they chose me to document them. As you can see from the photographs below, Lana is going to make one hot mama! She told me how much she loves being pregnant and it definitely shows – she is glowing both inside and out. She is definitely not shy either – embracing the beauty of her belly and letting me strip her down (again) – this time in the woods
. Despite some unwanted bugs, we had a great time (as usual) and I can’t wait for to meet the newest addition! Stay tuned for baby on the way!

“vision of love”
Cylie Lyn + Grant and I were crossing our fingers all week prior to their wedding. It had rained all week and although rain on a wedding day means good luck in some cultures, I knew Cylie Lyn had waited and wanted this day to be perfect. All the planning and all of her visions came true on that sweet February day. No rain could be found, just tons of smiles and sunshine at the
Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa, CA. I had so much fun that day because you could just feel all of the energy and love for this couple around you. They showed that having a great wedding day is being surrounded by all of your loved ones. My absolute favorite part of the evening was the dance off between tables. I felt like I was in the movie Step Up or something. Cylie Lyn + Grant’s family and friends sure know how to get down! Thank you Cylie Lyn + Grant for having me part of your vision. May your days ahead continue to be filled with smiles and sunshine.

“need you now”
I met Sylvia from
Luci + Ernesto’s December wedding and I was more than thrilled when she asked me to shoot her wedding in August. I met Joel at our e-session and I soon learned that he is quite charismatic and quite good at coming up with his own modeling poses
. These two made my job so easy with their laid back personalities and undeniable chemistry. Oh and did I mention they are also Bruin Alums?!
I am so excited for their wedding in August! You will be sure that Joel will have many more poses coming your way!
The
Pasadena City Hall is such a pretty place.

Gorgeous light for a gorgeous couple!

We crossed the street a few times that day…this ended up being one of my favorite shots of the day.

The
Griffith Observatory is definitely one of my favorite places to shoot in Los Angeles.

Check out Sylvia’s beautiful eyes!!!

“i knew i loved you”
As Takeo said so confidently in front of their families at their engagement party last month, “when you know, you know.” You can hear it, feel it and see it – they know. And these photos sure say it. Congrats Michelle + Takeo!

“like a star”
I have to be honest – I have been sick, tired and feeling a lil’ overwhelmed lately. Both my mother and my body have been telling me to slow down. But, it is so hard do so when I feel like there is still so much I want to do. Sometimes I think my mind and heart move faster than life itself. While wallowing in my sickness today, I received the sweetness gift from one of my sweetness couples and it reminded me exactly why I don’t intend to slow down. (I might just take more Vitamin C and use more sanitary hand wipes). Please don’t get me wrong – it’s not the gift that inspires me, but the act of thoughtfulness that truly touched me. It is wonderful to think that my clients enjoyed their photos so much that they took time out of their day to show their appreciation. I am truly grateful for the endless opportunities to touch people’s lives and having happy clients inspires me to continue to do so. As they say in the NBA, “this is why I play the game“! I thought it was so appropriate that the earrings were stars – I always feel like the sky is the limit and the stars are within reach. Thank you Jenny + Andrian – your thoughtfulness and love continues to inspires me!!! I can’t wait for their “i do’s” in April! And for those of you that are curious, gifts like these do not result in me giving you six-pack abs in your photos. I put forth 110% to all of my clients’ photos regardless. This was a gift after the photos were delivered!

“sweetness in starlight”
I always feel so blessed to work with such wonderful couples. I met Steven last year through mutual friends and he told me how he wanted to do a surprise proposal for his girlfriend and asked me to capture some photos for them after the big moment. I was honored to be given the opportunity to catch an intimate glimpse of such a beautiful love story. You can see these photos and their story
here. After getting to know Jenna + Steven in the past year, it’s no surprise that in a few months they will walk down the aisle as husband & wife. These two are perrrrfect for each other and as you can see by part 1 below, they are so unbelievably cute and coordinated
. They planned this whole scene for me and I merely (well not merely, I got some talent
) showed up and snapped away as the cuteness unfolded in front of me. Check back soon for part 2 of their engagement session!!!!

We can see who the messy one is here =P.

Jenna sure knows how to work it!
