“one fine day”

One of my favorite things about my job is meeting and working with amazing vendors! Helen of Flowers by Helen and I have become good friends over the last year as she has crafted such fabulous floral creations for some of my clients and also the Alice in Wonderland Inspired Bridal Shoot that you may all remember. We have bonded over a mutual love for weddings, shopping and of course eating :). I was beyond ecstatic when she asked me to photograph hers and DJ’s wedding this November not only because of what a great couple they are but also because I knew there is bound to be an abundance of gorgeous details for me to shoot. So over our favorite meal at our favorite place, Helen and I discussed their upcoming engagement session and how awesome it would be to shoot at our one and only place to have shabu – California Shabu Shabu. Since the folks at California Shabu Shabu were nice enough to let us use their fine establishment for our shoot, I was nice enough to let DJ use mine and Helen’s special spot :). I think we were more excited about the post-shoot meal than the shoot itself lol. Nevertheless it’s always a blast with Helen + DJ! 🙂

The day started off with rain but it didn’t stop us from having a fun, colorful session! I was in love with Helen’s leopard skirt!
