“i’m in ________ trick!”
That’s righty folks – I’m off for some girly fun!!!!! Me and the ladies are hitting up San Francisco, New York and the Hamptons for two weeks. Call it a real life Gossip Girl/Sex in the City venture, minus the gossip and s-x of course
. It’s not all play and no work though – I have a few shoots planned during the trip – I know, I’m waaaay too dedicated to my job
.
I will be responding to emails upon my return. Have a safe and fun 4th of July everyone!!!
And because I hate to have a post without any photos, I thought I’d share a couple of photos I took a while back with my little point and shoot. I have no idea where I even dug these up from. I’m curious to see what photos I come up with this time around!

“somewhere only we know”
It was only fitting that Mei & Phong were married on Father’s Day – their wedding was a grand celebration with their fathers as well as plenty of family & friends. Mei had everything perfectly planned for the big day, with help from her wonderful wedding coordinator – Paola of
Just Chic Events. Despite all the events of the day (another 12 hour day for me!), Mei & Phong remained calm and more noticeably, just happy to be at each other’s sides. At the end of the day, all you could really see is how perfect these two are for each other and how much love they have for their families.
We started out with some getting ready shots at Mei’s house:

There was a traditional tea ceremonies at both Mei’s and Phong’s parents’ houses:

We stopped at the
San Gabriel Mission from some pretty portraits.

I just fell in love with the light at the mission:

Why are groomsmen always so funny?!

And bridesmaids always so lovely?!

I love the sage green that Mei picked out:

There goes those funny groomsmen again

One of my favorite shots of the day!

The reception was held at Furiwa Restaurant in Garden Grove, CA:

“each day gets better”
Following a lovely surprise proposal,
Jenna & Steven made their engagement official with a beautiful traditional Vietnamese engagement party for family and close friends. It is custom for both families to meet and announce the acceptance of the engagement. Their was definitely no objection here as everyone was all smiles and cheer for this wonderful couple. There were even some tears…ahem…Steven
. I am so blessed to know Jenna & Steven and meet all of their amazing family and friends. I simply cannot wait for their wedding in 2010!
The gorgeous couple:

Some details of the day:

Guests begin to arrive, with some dressed in traditional Vietnamese dresses:

The bride’s side awaits the arrival of the grooms’s family:

Here they come!

In keeping with tradition, Jenna’s father walks her out to greet the guests:

Smiling faces everywhere!

Hmmm…guava cake…

The journey continues…

“fire burning”
The boudoir is back! A few weeks ago I got to meet the incredibly sexy and funny Tracey. We had a blast and it never feels like work when you are having fun! Tracey is getting married next month and wanted a little something, something for her husband-to-be! Judging by how stunning Tracey looks in these photos, I’m sure the hubs will be happy
Once again, all make up & hair was beautifully done by the
All Made Up Team. I can’t say enough about this amazing team of ladies!
P.S. The blog layout has been updated, but more about that later – don’t want to take away from Tracey’s sexy post!
For now, just enjoy the bigger and better photos
Here we go!

“pretty-young-thing”
In light of the passing of some amazing American icons, I think it’s a reminder of how precious life really is. I am fortunate to photograph the beginning of life and see how beautiful it is to welcome someone into the world. Hot mama
Sherylle gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Jordyn on June 3, 2009. 13 days later, I visited the beautiful family for some newborn photos of Jordyn and wow she is the cutest little thing! Congrats to Sherylle and lovely family!
Some table reading and parental help:

Just chilling:

Jordyn was wearing the cutest little onesy:

And the cutest little hat:

Ok I’ll stop going on and on about her cuteness, but seriously, look at those cute lil hands?!

“To poop or not to poop – that is the question“…LOL..this shot was NOT posed folks!

So if you have been reading my blog, you know I just LOVE me some baby feet. And I just could not decide which photo I liked best so I posted all three:

“when love takes over”
You might remember sisters
Ashley & Alyssa from my blog last October. My how they have grown, but still as cute as ever! I know this family very well and I am lucky to have them in my life. As you can see from the photos below, this household has no shortage of smiles and laughter. Like their family, the love just keeps growing and growing =).
Introducing the beautiful family!

I can’t get enough of that face!

Alyssa likes dad’s face:

My name is Kim Le and I love baby feet. Unfortunately I had to have Anthony’s feet in this photo as well. =P

What a funny family they are! I love Alyssa’s expression in the first photo:

“i gotta feeling”
I know I always say I have a blast shooting engagement sessions, but I really do! It’s such a fun and creative time for me and my couples! Hollie & Brian’s engagement session was no exception. They are two beautiful people – inside & out. Plus Hollie is an optometrist & Brian is a pharmacist – I definitely know who to call from now on! =) Hollie & Brian are getting married in September and since I was not available for their big day, I had to settle for a few amazing hours with this amazing couple! Hollie & Brian – I wish you a happy wedding day and an even happier life together
.
We started out at the Santa Ana Train Station. It was my first time shooting there – who knew it was so fabulous?!

Too cute!

We were able to find some beautiful light!

And some awesome backdrops!

Next we headed to Corona Del Mar beach, where the day was absolutely gorgeous. I guess we didn’t have to worry about June gloom that day!

I just love this next set of headshots! I think it really shows off their personalities!

Oh the lovely light continues!
